the designer chose aluminum both for its rigidity and lightness but also for its recycling properties. in order to achieve an elegant aesthetic, a custom-made two-part mold was designed with a pattern of pleats. the pattern was then pressed onto the aluminum sheets to create the body of the chair. the profile of the cross-section is continuous from the backrest to the seat resulting in a thin, delicate shell that maintains its rigidity.
