During a 6 month sabbatical in New York, Dutch artist and illustrator Remko Heemskerk was inspired by the city’s vibe, architecture, color and sounds — evident in the resulting series of illustrations he produced. Greenwich Village, Park Avenue, Lower East Side… Heemskerk immortalises the places that hold a special meaning to him with bold strokes and vibrant colors… a personal tribute to one of the best cities in the world.
